With Milwakee, DeWalt, Bosch, Mikika and others changing from NiCad to Lithium-Ion batteries you will notice increased performance. The batteries tend to be lighter and smaller and also last approximately twice as long. Lithium-Ion batteries don’t have the “fade-away” that NiCads are so loved for. The last cut is as strong as the first. They also will cycle more often extending the life of the battery and helping the bottom line as these batteries aren’t exactly cheap. Some believe advances in Lithium-Ion technology open the door for its application to larger tools and many other types of products.
