The Newest Mac® Laptop Charger Conditions as It Charges
As more and more companies realize that is just as important to condition your batteries as well as charge them, we will see chargers taking advantage of this important feature to extend the life and usage of our precious laptops.
NewerTech has developed a charger/conditioner for your PowerBook®, iBook®, MacBook®, and MacBook Pro batteries. Their first device has 2 bays allowing it to charge 2 batteries, however what I’ve read so far it only conditions the battery in one of the bays. I don’t follow the logic in that other than to try to keep costs down.
Either way extending the life on these batteries is always a good thing as anyone that has replaced one knows they aren’t exactly cheap.
