Focus on Alternative Power Plants
As you read the news you see more and more alternative power plants being built. There are several in Arizona and New Mexico.

Even Pennsylvania is getting into the act with a 3 mega-watt power center that should open later this year. The Pennsylvania Governor Edward G. Rendell says that 850 mega-watts of additional solar power is expected to be online by 2021.
My question is how much are the other states working on this? I know there are multiple factors to consider when building a large scale power center; however with states already having time and money invested into fossil fuel power are they going to invest more to relieve the crunch we’re all feeling from the rising costs of oil.
Here’s another political plug that I can’t help expressing my opinion on: if we can afford to spend billions in a war that nobody wants then why the &*($ are we not using some of these funds to get us of the dependency of oil which supplies terrorists with the money they need to continue their attacks? Just doesn’t make sense to me. What do you think? Think the $518 billion we’ve already spent on the war go a long way towards getting us off oil? But I digress.
