High Gas Prices Force Better Battery Operated Technology
I’m going to go out on a limb and go against what I’ve been griping about recently and say maybe the insane gas prices are a good thing. Ok pick yourself up off the floor… I think it is a good thing for three reasons.
The higher gas prices are forcing people to look at alternative means of power, forcing us to find ways to save money, and forcing us to find ways to skip a gas station or two. There are so many breakthroughs in battery technology, vehicle technology, and power generation that I find it exciting. There will be huge changes as more and more people look for electric, hybrid, or other ways to get away from fossil fuels.
I know the suits at the Gas Companies are saying “It’s not our fault” while raking in record profits. However I think they’re going to end up cutting their own throats because they are forcing people to change their habits and we all know how much fun that is.
We get calls all the time from customers looking for batteries in order to create battery-powered transportation. The ingenuity that some of our customers have come up with is pretty astounding. Battery powered motorcycles, cars, bicycles, boats, and ATV’s are just a handful of the projects that people are working on throughout our country.
The old adage “Necessity is the mother of all invention” is going to hurt the oil companies right in their wallets. When it hits, I think it’s going to hit hard.
Do you see anything useful about the high prices?
